Second Base Prospects
Chris Burke - Astros: The 10th overall pick in 2001 put together a pretty good season finding playing time all over the field. He will qualify as a 2B & OF, two very valuable positions. Batted .276 & hit 9 HR's, 23 doubles& 11 stolen bases with 366 at bats.
Esteban German - Royals: Should start somewhere in Kansas City and qualifies as the much needed 2B & OF. Batted .326 with 3 HR's, 5 triples, 18 doubles & 7 stolen bases with 279 at bats.
Kelly Johnson - Braves: Is the top candidate to take over for Marcus Giles at 2B. Has power. Came up in 2005 and hit 9 HR's with 290 at bats while batting .242.
Aaron Hill - Blue Jays: The 25-year-old 2003 13th overall pick started much of the year and batted .291. Unfortunately he had little else in fantasy numbers to offer hitting just 5 HR's & stealing 6 bases with 546 at bats. If he improves his numbers he could be a find. Qualifies as a SS as well.
Howie Kendrick - Angels: Came up late in '06 & started hot before fading a bit. Will have to find a spot in the Angels line-up, but might. Batted .284 with 5 HR's & 6 SB's with 267 at bats. Also qualifies as 1B.
